LAHORE (Web Desk) – The Punjab government has planned to set up first ever Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) power plant in Sheikhupura, media reports say.
The decision was taken in a high level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Chief minister, while addressing the meeting, informed that federal cabinet has approved the installation of LNG run power plants in different cities of Punjab.
These plants will have a collective capability to produce 3600 megawatt electricity.
Shahbaz Sharif said the Prime Minister will soon inaugurate 100-MW power project at Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park, Bahawalpur, which has been completed in a record period of six months.
