LAHORE (Web Desk) – A former Pakistani cricketer who played nine test and fifty six ODI matches has recently been spotted driving a taxi in Sydney.
According to Ganesh Birle who originally belongs to Hyderabad India, Arshad Khan was the driver of a Uber taxi, he used in Sydney. He said it was sad to see a former cricketer driving a taxi.
Arshad Khan also offered me water just like a good driver when we sat in the car, he further added. “I from Pakistan but I have been here in Sydney for long time now,” Birle remembers Arshad Khan introducing himself.

“He was the driver of our cab and we started chatting, he told me that he is from pakistan and lives in sydney. Also that he has been to hyd many times when he was playing for Lahore Badshahs something in ICL. Afterwhich I asked him his full name and then I was shocked to see his face which I could partially recognise. I shook has his hand and left,” Birle told his friend when he asked for details.
He further added “he was avoiding the conversation all the time, but at the same time he couldn’t help but talk about his India connection”.
According to information available ESPNCricinfo Arshad Khan, 44, originally belongs to Peshawar and played international cricket between 1997 and 2006.
During his career he picked as many as 95 wickets in all three formats of cricket. He represented Pakistan against India in 2006 in an ODI match played in Rawalpindi for the last time. Arshad played his last first class game in Mir Pur Khas in 2009.
