Army officer Lt. Col. Khalid Ameer, his relatives released from TTP captivity: ISPR

RAWALPINDI – Pakistan army officer Lieutenant colonel Khalid Ameer and three of his relatives have been released by militants without any conditions, ISPR said.

In a statement, ISPR said Lt Col Khalid and his relatives who were kidnapped by banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have been safely released.

The hostages were released with efforts of tribal elders and local dignitaries who played a crucial role in securing their release. “All the abductees have safely returned home,” ISPR said.

Army officer, Assistant Commissioner, and their two relatives, Fahad Ameer and a nephew, were abducted while attending their father’s funeral in Dera Ismail Khan earlier this week.

Militants shared two clips of abductees, where they made the government to meet the captors’ unknown demands.
