KARACHI - Disgruntled members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) broke in and vandalised the party's Insaf House in Karachi during their protest against the finalisation of candidates in the port city, police said on on Saturday.

The unidentified attackers first trespassed the property located on Shahrah-e-Faisal and then wrote phrases on the walls against PTI Sindh President Arif Alvi. “Usurping of seats by Karachi president is unacceptable. Go Arif Alvi go,” read one slogan.

The attack apparently followed PTI chairman Imran Khan naming Firdous Shamim Naqvi as the candidate to contest from PS102 in Karachi.

Officials said the Insaf House administration did not allow the police to visit the premises.

According to the police, the Insaf House administration said that it was a party matter and was being resolved internally.
