KABUL – At least four people were injured after a suicided bomber reportedly attempted to target a convoy of foreign workers in Kabul on Friday.
According to Tolo News, Ministry of Interior’s deputy spokesman Nusrat Rahimi said the explosion targeted a foreign workers convoy when it was passing through the Qabel Bai area in Kabul’s PD9.
Najib Danish, a spokesperson for the interior ministry also confirmed that the vehicle, which was targeted, belong to foreign workers.
The blast was so powerful that some houses, according to residents of Qabel Bai, were damaged in the area. Onlookers claimed that a person was also killed in the attack.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
The attack came two days after President Ashraf Ghani offered to hold peace talks with the Taliban.
