Amir Khan’s sexist remarks will shock you

LONDON – Amir Khan and his wife Faryal Makhdoom’s row has just been solved and the boxer is back making headlines again.

Amir Khan recently joined a reality show called ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ In the show, Amir expressed his opinion that it was a woman’s job to cook and clean.

Amir said to another man who said he would cook for his wife if she were working, “I would never cook. In my culture, women, that’s their job to do the cooking. They’re best at cooking.”

It did not stop there, Amir went on to say that: “It’s a man’s job to actually do other jobs like the hard work, the hard labour jobs around the house.”

The argument escalated quickly as Amir went on saying that “I’ve got a dishwasher, washing machine, I’ve never actually known how to use these things. I would never touch those machinery, ever. You would turn into a woman. I’m a man. If I started dishwashing —”

This remark made a woman ask Amir if he would turn into a woman if he were to use a machine. As Amir replied ‘yes’ to the question, Twitter users have not taken the argument too well and have been speaking against the boxer on his sexist remarks.
