Seven infants die due to lack of facilites at Kohat hospital

KOHAT (Online) - At least seven newborn babies have died duration the last two days in Liaqat Memorial Hospital Kohat due to lack of facilities.

Their parents and relatives on Sunday lodged a strong protest against the hospital administration demanding the provincial government to take action against the responsible officials for deaths.

“There are only two incubators in the ward besides shortage of beds,” Afzal Khan, a protesting father of a baby said adding that more deaths could occur if necessary facilities were not made available at the earliest.
