Commandant PTC Chung bans smartphones for course participants

AIG training Punjab has approved a batch of 11th Junior Command Course (JCC) at Police Training College Chung (PTC) with the intake of 50 DSPs (40 General Exit Branch (GEB), 5 Legal and 5 Traffic) to be held from 01.03.2022 till next four months at PTC.

Participants are asked to bring a negative Covid report not more than of last 72 hours at the time of arrival, according to notification issued by AIG training Ali Nasir Rizvi.

This promotional course of DSPs is happening first time in Police Training College Chung, while past these courses were held in Police training center Sahala.

DSPs from all over Punjab will attend the course being held in Lahore for four months. Meanwhile,

participants of this promotional course are not allowed to bring any smart phone or any digital device, which has camera or recording system but they can take 2G Sim enable mobile phone

The IGP Punjab asked all trainees not to take any smartphone or any digital device, which has camera or recording system in training center but they can take 2G Sim enable mobile phone. In this regard, Commandant PTC Chung DIG Ahmad Jamal Ur Rehman has issued a notification in which the DSP’s participating in 11THJCC are prohibited to bring smartphones with them. 

According to details, the participants are bound to stay in the college six days a week during the training. 

Police officers who came on training got angry on this restriction.

Some of the trainees showed anger and said ” Assistant sub-inspectors (ASI) who are posted in center are having android phones but we have been prohibited to bring smart phones while we are senior officers and know the sensitivity of digital devices use very well . 

We will go to home after 6 days of the week and we will be getting free after 5pm, why can’t they make the policy of submission of our phones during training time, they added.
