Pakistan concerned about increasing hate crimes against Muslims in West

NEW YORK (Staff Report) – Pakistan has voiced a serious concern over the increasing hate crimes targeting Muslims in the Western countries.

At a Pak-sponsored event in the United Nation, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi stressed the need for unity among Muslims as they build bridges to other religious communities through stepped up interaction.

She said interfaith cooperation is the way to bring about a harmonious environment and peaceful conditions.

She called for dialogue among leaders and dialogue among religious communities to end the rising tide of religious and ethnic discrimination and bias incidents.
