DOHA – Two members of Joint Investigation Team who headed to Qatar for recording statement of Prince Jassim arrived back home here on Wednesday.
According to sources privy to the developments in the purview of Panama papers probe, NAB and MI’s representative Irfan Mangi and Brig Kamran Khursheed landed back in Pakistan after spending a day in Qatar.
Both the representatives of the six-member high-powered Joint Investigation Team arrived in Islamabad from Qatar through Dubai.
It is highly likely that the members would soon join their team in a bid to record the statement of Maryam Nawaz, daughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who would be making her maiden appearance before the team today (Wednesday) at 11 A.M.
A day before the much-awaited appearance, Maryam Nawaz took to microblogging time and tweeted: See you tomorrow, Insha’Allah !

In a series of loaded tweets, Maryam Nawaz said that her father has seen and been through “most testing times, in the 30+ years of his political career acing out his rivals” yet as an affectionate and protective father, she saw his eyes filled with concern and apprehensions over his daughter’s appearance before JIT.

Prior to Maryam’s appearance, premier’s elder son Hussain Nawaz had six sessions with the team whereas Hassan Nawaz arrived at the federal judicial academy thrice for recording his statement.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and PM’s son-in-law Captain Safdar all made a single appearance before the team
The prime minister’s cousin Tariq Shafi faced the team twice. The Supreme Court of Pakistan had set a deadline of July 10 for the team to wind up its probe.
