5G to be launched in Pakistan soon: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal has said that the government is planning to launch 5th generation (5G) cellular services soon to ensure the fastest connectivity across the country.

He was speaking at the ‘Pakistan StartUP Cup’ competition for young entrepreneurs in Islamabad.

The Planning Minister said Pakistan and the United States are working on ‘Knowledge Corridor’, under which around 10,000 PhDs from Pakistan will be trained in the US universities.

Ahsan Iqbal said the government inherited big challenges of terrorism and energy shortage in 2013, but now the western media and think tanks considered Pakistan as the most ideal country for investment.

He said the political stability and the continuation of economic policies are must for the country’s sustainable development.
