QUETTA: Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar said on Tuesday said that enemies did not want to see Pakistan prosperous, besides calling terrorism a conspiracy to weaken Pakistan.
Justice Nisar stated this while addressing a condolence reference in Quetta observing a year from the Civil Hospital tragedy in which 73 people including 56 lawyers were killed.
“We have to fight against this conspiracy with determination as defeat in this war will leave nothing for our next generation,” he said at the event.
Expressing grief over the cowardly attack in Quetta, the chief justice said that he did not have words event for condemnation and condolence.
Saying Quetta suicide bombing is not a single incident, he said that innocent children were martyred by terrorist in Peshawar.
Implementation of Commission Report
Talking about inquiry commission report on Quetta incident, the chief justice said that Justice Qazi FaeZ Isq prepare a comprehensive report regarding the incident.
The judiciary will implement the suggestion brought forth by the report, he said, adding that some problems are prevailing regarding aggrieved families of the incident.
Security for Courts
The chief justice said that security situation of the country is not normal, adding that a uniform policy is required to ensure foolproof security of the courts. It is essential to align the security on modern lines.
All will have to play his role as security is collective responsibility, he said, besides hoping that members and heads of the Bars will cooperate to ensure it.
Referring to ongoing war against terrorism, he said judiciary is also to play its role in it, adding that every institution should take part in this war.
