LAHORE – Bilal Lashari’s Maula Jatt is one of the most anticipated Pakistani films featuring the Humsafar couple Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan along with Hamza Ali Abbasi and Humaima Malick in lead roles. The good news is that the film has finally gotten a release date.
Also, a teaser is also going to be revealed soon as well. The makers of the 1979 hit’s remake took to social media and shared that the film is all set to release on Eidul Fitr next year.
Pakistan’s sweetheart Mahira Khan will also be seen in a pivotal role, and recently the starlet posted on her Twitter asking filmmaker Bilal Lashari to release the teaser soon. We are also waiting for it eagerly.

Since the film was announced, the movie was being dubbed as the reboot of the iconic Maula Jatt (1979) but recent reports suggest that it is rather a continuation of Nasir Adeeb’s original series that began with Wehshi Jatt in 1975 and exposed viewers to the character of Maula Jatt essayed by the legendary Sultan Rahi (late).
The film’s release might clash with Salman Khan-starrer Bharat, which is also set to hit big screens on Eid-ul-Fitr next year. For now, we are waiting to see our favorite stars in a 1979’s hit rendition.
