Second death anniversary: Here's how Pakistanis paid tribute to Abdul Sattar Edhi

LAHORE - Yesterday, 8th July was the second death anniversary of great Philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi. He was a nobleman who had served all his life for the betterment of deserving people. Abdul Sattar Edhi was the founder Edhi Foundation.

The departed helping soul was born on February 28, 1928, in Gujarat before the partition of the sub-continent. He breathed his last on July 8, 2016, at the age of 88 in Karachi.

Edhi has been bestowed with some of the most honorable awards and titles for his highest devotion to society and humanity, and promotion of peace and interfaith harmony. Many humanitarian organizations have paid rich tributes to the late Edhi on his second death anniversary and observed him as a model for humanity.
