KARACHI – Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif Wednesday visited Corps Headquarters Karachi and attended the ongoing Exercise “Resilient Response” of Southern Command.
He was briefed in detail about the conduct and conclusions of the Exercise encompassing both defensive and offensive operations, said a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Talking to the participants, general Raheel expressed his satisfaction over enhanced battle worthiness and operational preparedness of formations.
Later, the army chief presided over a security conference which was also attended by the Corps Commander Karachi, Lt General Naveed Mukhtar, Director General ISI, Lt General Rizwan Akhtar, Director General Rangers Sindh, major General Bilal Akbar, and others.
Appreciating the accomplishments of security forces and intelligence agencies for improved law and order situation in the city, the army chief directed to continue focused operations in conjunction with other law enforcing agencies and the Sindh government for complete restoration of peace for common citizen of Karachi. — Online
