LAHORE (Staff Report) – Director General (DG) Rangers Pakistan and his Indian counterpart Indian Border Security Force (BSF) Commander are meeting in New Delhi today (Wednesday) to discuss border issues.
A 16-member delegation of Punjab Rangers, led by Major Umer Farooq Barki, will arrive in New Delhi on four-day visit.
Tense situation at Working Boundary and other key matters will come under discussion between the two sides.
The meeting is aimed at reducing tension on the Line of Control and the Working Boundary.
Pakistan will take up the issue of unprovoked Indian firing along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary.
Implementation of ceasefire agreement of 2003 will also be discussed in the meeting.
