Emerging Pakistani actress Hira Khan has made a surprising revelation about auditions.
In an interview with a Pakistani magazine, Hira shared the demands made by the casting director during the auditions. The interview went viral on social media.
Hira Khan explained that a fellow actress informed her about a director who was casting for a new drama and suggested she audition with this well-known casting director.
She said she obtained the director’s number from her colleague to showcase her work, as actors are typically cast based on their performance.
Without revealing the director’s name, Hira Khan mentioned that when she contacted the director, he did not request to see her work but directly invited her for an audition.
The actress added that she was surprised when the director told her to come for the audition at 11 PM and wear revealing clothing. When she expressed her discomfort about wearing bold outfits on screen and attending auditions at such late hours, the director reassured her that it would be a private audition only seen by producers and the casting team.
Hira Khan further mentioned that she refused and ended the call, then shared the entire story with another director in the industry, who told her that such practices are fraudulent and deceptive.
