ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Spokesman Fawad Chaudhry Friday said the process for formation of the Pakistan Tehree-e-Insaf (PTI) government would hopefully be completed by August 18. Talking to media persons, he said, “Newly-elected members of the parliament would take oath on August 13 and they would elect Speaker and Deputy Speaker on the same day.Chairman PTI Imran Khan would take oath from President Mamnoon Hussain at the Aiwan-e-Sadar on August 18, after being elected as new prime minister by the National Assembly, he added. He said no decision had yet been finalized about members of the federal cabinet. Answering a question, he said the PTI chief would stay at the Punjab House as renovation work was in progress at the Ministers’ Enclave. PTI leader Faisal Javed said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had invited India’s former star cricketers Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and Navjot Singh Sidhu to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Imran Khan. Imran Khan, who started his career as a professional cricketer and earned a great name as a Test and One-day International player, has invited not only the former cricketers of his playing days from India, but also invited the members of the Pakistan cricket team which had won the World Cup under his captaincy in 1992. These players included Javed Miandad, Wasim Akram, Rameez Raja, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mushtaq Ahmed, Moin Khan and Aaqib Javed, who played the World Cup final at Melbourne, Australia, he added. He said no foreign dignitaries will be invited at the oath-taking ceremony due to time limitations. A few hundred people will be invited in the oath taking ceremony, he added. To another question, he said the PTI chief wanted cordial relations with all the neighbouring countries, adding improved bilateral ties between Pakistan and India were beneficial for the whole region.
