ISLAMABAD – A medical report has revealed that 11 torture marks of different nature were found on child maid Tayyaba’s arms, legs, back and around her eyes.
The report added that a torture mark measuring one square centimetre was found near her right eye. There were also burn marks and bruises all over her body.
It also confirmed that Tayyaba faced mental stress but her mental condition is improving gradually.
It is learnt that a medical report will be submitted to the Supreme Court soon, while Chief Justice Saqib Nisar will resume hearing of the case tomorrow (Wednesday).
Earlier on Monday, a medical checkup of the child maid was conducted by a five-member team of PIMS hospital in which the doctors confirmed that she had been subjected to torture.
Meanwhile, blood and hair samples had been taken from her alleged parents for DNA tests in order to establish the identity of her real parents.
Talking to the media, PIMS Executive Director, Professor Dr Javed Akram confirmed the little girl had indeed been tortured.
