CM Shehbaz sets foot in KPK, attracts social media attention through first Pashtu tweet

LAHORE – Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif seems to be expanding his electoral base to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as he slammed the provincial ruling party for dismal pace regarding the development projects.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president, in his first-ever tweet in the Pashtu language, stated that he would be informing the people of the province about the successes made under his chair in Punjab.

The younger shift apparently trolled the KPK’s ruling party and asserted that they (PML-N) would be completing the Bus rapid transit project (BRT) after winning the next general elections at a speedy pace.

It is noteworthy that Wednesday’s visit would be the first ever of Shehbaz Sharif as party president and workers at the local level have finalised arrangements for making it a huge success.

Shehbaz is also expected to hold meetings with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders during his one-day trip to Peshawar.
