Only MQM is being targeted in Karachi: Altaf Hussain

KARACHI (Web Desk) – MQM Chief Altaf Hussain on Wednesday alleged that only his party has been targeting by Ranger in provincial capital.

Addressing on telephone by party workers at Nine Zero, Hussain termed the raid as ‘barbaric.’

He asked human rights activists to highlight the issue, adding sixty plus people were arrested from the party headquarters without any arrest warrants.

He said the house of his 68-year-old sister was also raided.

Hussain said it was his party which called for an army action in Karachi because of poor law and order situation but army did not come instead a Rangers-led operation was launched in Karachi.

MQM chief questioned whether the house of any other political leader raided in a manner they raid Nine Zero today adding only his house has been raided around 100 times since 1992.

“Is Altaf Hussain not a Pakistani,” he questioned.

MQM chief reiterated that party worker Waqas Shah was shot dead by Rangers firing rejecting claims by Rangers high-ups that Shah was not killed by the force.

“I can prove this is a lie,” he asserted.
