Zafar Abbasi Ghazi, who was played as Captain Kashif in Alpha Bravo Charlie , dies in CMH Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI (Staff Report) – Lieutenant Colonel (retd.) Zafar Abbasi Ghazi, who was played as Captain Kashif in famous drama serial ‘Alpha Bravo Charlie’, has died in Combined Military Hospital in Rawalpindi, family sources said on Wednesday.

Alpha Bravo Charlie was an ISPR production based on real story of Mr Zafar Abbasi Ghazi.

He caught frost bite while serving as Pakistan Army captain during his posting at country’s highest check post in Siachin in 1987. Captain lost his legs and both hands as a result however he refused to retire and continued serving and became Lieutenant Colonel.

In Alpha Bravo Charlie Ghazi’s character, Captain Kashif, was played by Major-General Abdullah Mehmood who was then a captain in Pakistan Army.
