WASHINGTON (Web Desk) – A 6.9 magnitude strong earthquake jolted Chile on Tuesday late night, no tsunami warning was issued initially, reported news agencies.
According to US Geological Survey the epicenter of quake was found to 93 kilometers of Coquimbo at at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There have been no reports of any major loss following the powerful earthquake.
Later a 6.8 magnitude aftershock to the quake was also reported.
