KARACHI – The five-day International Book Fair 2016 is all set to kick off on Thursday at the Expo Centre Karachi.
The 10th Karachi International Book Fair is being organised in association with The Pakistan Publishers and Booksellers Association. The five-day event will end on December 22.
“Over 350 book stalls will be established by local and foreign publishers including Iran, Turkey, Singapore and Malaysia and India,” reports Radio Pakistan on Monday. Eighteen international publishers and up to 110 publishers from various parts of Pakistan are slated to take part.
Apart from books, the organisers have also arranged a number of fun and educational activities for students and families. The activity lounge will be hosting a comic mushaira. Some new writers will also be launching their books.
The book fair will feature books on science, history, ethics and religion, among other subjects. It will be followed by a similar annual fair to be held in Lahore in February 2017.
