The ace tennis star Sania Mirza, on Friday, announced that a biopic on her life and career will be made by Bollywood film-maker Ronnie Screwvala soon, reported Mumbai Mirror. The Indian tennis star has signed the contract for the biopic and the primary stages of the filming process have already been initiated.
“It’s great. The talks have been going on for a while. The contract was signed. We are just looking forward to it,” Sania announced at the sidelines of an event.
Sania, the only Indian woman tennis player to achieve the Grand Slam title (in doubles), said the making of the biopic was in the initial stages. “It’s all going to be mutual understanding. I think that obviously, my input is important because it’s my story. So, I will have to help out,” she added.
Mirza’s biopic will be the newest addition to the long list of biographical films on sports personalities created by Bollywood, similar to Dangal, BhaagMilkhaBhaag, Mary Kom, and MS Dhoni.
