RAWALKOT – At least six people were killed while 26 others were left injured when a passenger bus plunged into a deep ravine in Azad Kashmir, in the early hours of Thursday.
The bus that was en route Kahuta from Rawalpindi met a tragic fate near Janjal mor when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The deceased included a minor girl and a woman.
Soon after the accident, police, rescue teams and locals reached the site.
The dead and injured were pulled out from the ravine and were rushed to district hospital Hajira and CMH Rawalkot.
The local administration has been directed to give their maximum cooperation to relief agencies by the Azad Kashmir state government.
