BIHAR – At least eight people were killed and six others got injured after a speeding goods truck lost control and rammed into a wedding tent in the eastern Indian state of Bihar.
According to details, the accident took place at Halsi Bazar in Lakhisarai district, where the speeding goods truck lost control, hit an electric pole and then overran the guests, assembled to participate in the wedding ceremony.
The injured were shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
However, the truck driver fled from the accident scene. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident.
