LAHORE – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the Charing Cross blast that left over 16 dead and several others injured.
In a statement issued by the PM House on Monday, the prime minister has directed the Punjab government to reach the site and provide all possible assistance to the injured.
“Such cowardly acts cannot deter the resolve of the nation to stand against terrorism and our government is committed to rooting out this menace,” Nawaz Sharif said.
At least 16 people, including DIG Traffic Captain Ahmed Mubeen and SSP Zahid Gondal, embraced martyrdom in the terrorist attack.
