At least 4 policemen killed in Sheikhupura van accident

SHEIKHUPURA – At least four cops were killed and another two got injured in a road mishap occurred in Sheihupura district on Saturday.

According to media reports, the incident occurred near Bhikkhi area on Faisalabad Road in Sheikhupura district, when the tyre burst caused the police van rollover in the middle of the road.

The police team was heading towards Lahore, after arresting a suspect involved in dacoity from Layyah district.

The deceased police officers have been identified as Ghulam Mustafa, Asad ur Rehman, Mujahid and Kausar.

The injured policemen were shifted to a nearby hospital where the four cops succumb to their injuries, while another two are under medical treatment in the hospital.

The arrested accused has been shifted to a hospital in Lahore for medical treatment where he was reported to be in critical condition.
