KARACHI (Web Desk) – Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet here Karachi on Wednesday to sight moon of Muharram.
Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman will preside over the meeting at Meteorological Complex.

According to Meteorological Department, the moon is likely to be sighted today.
Meantime, Sindh government announced public holiday on the first of Muharram to commemorate the martyrdom of Hazrat Umar Farooq (R.A.).
It should be mentioned here that the religious scholars demanded holiday on the martyrdom day of the second caliph.
According to Chief Minister House, Qaim Ali Shah approved the public holiday for Karachi alone.
