ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said that he had no enmity with Nawaz Sharif, terming the health of the former premier more important than politics.
Sharif family is doing politics over the health of the PML-N supremo, he said while presiding over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Core Committee in the federal capital.
“If Sharif family wants to get relief from the court instead of submitting surety bonds, the government will raise no objection on it,” he said while referring to the PML-N’s petition submitted in the Lahore High Court (LHC) challenging the conditional approval for the removal of Nawaz’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
He added, “We find relaxation for the former premier’s travel abroad for treatment in the law”.
Talking about Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) led the anti-government protest, the premier said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had wasted the time and money of people.
He went on to say that the JUI-F chief had used religion card against the government.
Earlier today, the LHC declared a petition filed by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) seeking unconditional permission for ailing Nawaz Sharif to travel abroad for his treatment maintainable.
