20 international wrestlers arrive in Karachi as pro wrestling competition begins tomorrow
KARACHI - As many as twenty international wrestlers landed in Karachi to participate in the pro wrestling competition that will begin tomorrow (Wednesday).

Pakistan’s Badshah Pehalwan Khan, USA’s Flesh Gordon, England’s Tiny Iron and other WWE superstars will be in action in this one of its kind event in Karachi on May 17.

Former WWE star Wade Barret is also among the participants. Others to join the event are Tango, Flesh, Zefy, Bambikiller, Yacine Osmani, Fabio Ferrari, Mr Jacky, Ludovic Vaillant, Angel's Bombita, Audrey Bride, Mickey Trash, Betty Trash, Omen, Adam Flex Maxted, Aaron Rammy, Bernard Vandamme and Xtreme Fury. Four female wrestlers will also participate in the event.

WWE Star and English actor Wade Barrett said that he was delighted to be in Pakistan and was looking forward for some incredible wrestling action for next few days.

“We are excited to be here, it is my first time in Pakistan. I have heard that fans here are really incredibly passionate and excited for wrestling,” said Barrett, who has several wrestling titles to his belt.

“It is going to be an incredible experience, we have got some of the best wrestlers in Pakistan, fans here will have a great time,” he added.

The stout Tiny Iron also expressed his joy for being in Pakistan.

“I am here, Tiny Iron is here. Its PWE time, I am glad to be back to Karachi. It is going to be rumble; Tiny Iron is in the town now. It is going to be best time here,” he vowed vehemently while talking to media at Karachi airport.

The wrestlers have been brought to Pakistan by Pro Wrestling Entertainment group, which aims to give sport a new height in country.

Zeeshan Bashir of PWE said that the wrestlers were finally in Pakistan and his group was bringing a great event for wrestling fans in Pakistan.

"It is a big event for Pakistan, fans here will see their favorite wrestlers in action in Pakistan," he added.

The pro wrestling competition will be held in Karachi on May 17 at Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Sports Complex, in Lahore on May 19, and in Islamabad on May 21.

Pakistani rupee rate against US Dollar, Euro, Pound, Riyal - Check 20 April forex rates

Pakistani currency remains marginally same against US Dollar and other currencies on April 20, 2024. US dollar was being quoted at 277.5 for buying and 280.5 for selling.

Euro comes down to 293 for buying and 296 for selling while British Pound stands at 342.25 for buying, and 345.65 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.25 and Saudi Riyal's new rates was at 73.30.
