KARACHI – Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) has appointed former skipper of national cricket team, Shahid Afridi as an ambassador of the fifth Blind Cricket World Cup.
Pakistan is going to host the fifth edition of ODI blind cricket world cup in January next year in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Pakistan, local media reported.
“Pakistan Blind Cricket Council feels pleasure to inform you that upon our request Shahid Khan Afridi has agreed to become the “Ambassador” of the 5th edition of ODI Blind Cricket World Cup,” the spokesman said.
PBCC Chairman Syed Sultan Shah said, “Afridi is not only an icon in the arena of cricket across the globe but also a philanthropist and role model in social work as well. With his charismatic personality, blind cricket in Pakistan will gain new heights”.
