GENEVA – World Health Organization (WHO) has called on all countries to ramp up their testing programs as the best way to slow the advance of the coronavirus pandemic.
At a news conference in Geneva, WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus also urged companies to boost production of vital equipment to overcome acute shortages.
More than 196,470 people have so far been confirmed in 145 countries with more than 7,920 deaths. A total of 81,683 people have recovered from the illness, officially known as COVID-19.
