ISLAMABAD – Amid the austerity drive, the government is set to auction another 49 vehicles of the Prime Minister House in the second phase today.
As many as 19 bullet-proof cars are also included in the vehicles being put for the auction at the PM House. The auction process will start at 12am.
During the first phase last month, 61 luxury and surplus vehicles, including eight BMWs, 5000cc SUVs and two 4000cc bullet proofs, were sold to successful bidders.

In his first address to the nation, Prime Minister Imran had asserted cutting government expenditure, promising that he would not live in the palatial PM House.
The 22nd premier had announced that there were 80 vehicles in possession of PM Office, however, he would retain only two of them.
In the first phase, non-imported cars have been put up for auction followed by imported models and then the bulletproof cars.
As part of the austerity drive, Imran Khan has also selected the residence of the military secretary, instead of the PM House.
