Pakistan sends relief goods for quake victims in Tajikistan

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistan has sent first batch of humanitarian assistance sent for the earthquake affected people of Gorno-Badakhshan region of Tajikistan.

Pakistan Ambassador to Tajikistan Tariq Iqbal Soomro handed over the assistance to Tajik Deputy Minister in Tajikistan.

The first batch of relief assistance is part of the one million dollar humanitarian assistance comprising wheat, winterized kits and tents announced by Pakistan for the earthquake affected population of Gorno-Badakhshan region of Tajikistan.

Speaking at the handing-over ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Tajikistan thanked the Government and the people of Pakistan and said that Tajikistan greatly values its friendship with Pakistan.
