Action must be taken against culprits involved in petrol crisis: PM

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday stated that those involved in petrol crisis will not be spared, Radio Pakistan reported.
The Prime Minister gave these remarks while chairing a meeting to discuss petrol shortage in Punjab. Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqqan Abbasi will brief the meeting about the supply situation.
On the occasion, the premier said that people had to face serious difficulties due to fuel shortage and action will be taken against the persons responsible for the crisis.
PM Nawaz on Sunday ordered an inquiry into the crisis that began a week ago.
After returning from Saudi Arabia on Saturday, he fired four officials, including Abid Saeed, petroleum secretary, his deputy Naeem Malik and Amjad Janjua, the state oil chief.
