India will not protest Pakistan’s entry in Nuclear Suppliers Group: Sushma Swaraj

NEW DELHI (web Desk) – Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said that India will not protest Pakistan’s entry to the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG).

While addressing a press conference Sushma said, “India won’t protest the entry of any nation into the NSG but it does want applications to be considered on merit.”

She also claimed that China was not opposed to India’s membership of the NSG.

Responding to a question, the Indian minister clarified that foreign secretary-level talks between New Delhi and Islamabad had only been postponed, not cancelled.

“We are only waiting for a probe from the Pakistan side on Pathankot attack,” Sushma said.

There will be no third party involved in the Pak-India dialogue, she added.
