Govt to continue fight against terrorism: Ahsan

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has expressed the government’s commitment to continue the fight against terrorism till total success.

Talking to newsmen in Lahore on Saturday, he said we are moving forward in the mission against terrorism, and every terrorist will be eliminated from the country.

Condemning in strongest terms the Friday’s terror attack on Pakistan Air Force camp at Badaber in Peshawar, the minister said the incident signifies that the war on terror has not yet concluded.

To a question, he said transparency will be ensured in all the development projects.

Rejecting criticism on Nandipur Power Project, he said the project was launched in 2007 while the present government completed it.

He said the Prime Minister has also ordered an inquiry into the malfunctioning of the project.

Ahsan Iqbal clarified the Punjab government is completing development projects from its own budget and the federal government is not providing any assistance in this regard.

However, we are providing funds to the Sindh government for launching Green Bus Service in Karachi.

He said Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has objections on our projects, but instead he should introduce better ones in the province governed by his party.
