PM Abbasi decides to remove Dar from chairmanship of 12 committees
ISLAMABAD - To reduce the influence of Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar in state affairs, Prime Minister Abbasi has decided to remove him from the presidency of around 35 committees of parliament.

The decisions taken by PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in this regard would be implemented during next week.

It is worth mentioning here that PM has already removed Ishaq Dar from the position of the president of Privatization committee of ECC. Now Dar would be removed as head of dozens of committees including Inter Ministerial Committee, Food Security Committee, Committee on Sugar industry, Investment Committee, Committee on State Bank, Committee on Industrial Affairs, NHA Committee.

The deposed premier Nawaz Sharif has handed over almost all the state affairs to Ishaq Dar and his daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Now PM would also remove his blue-eyed top officials from different important slots, the sources said.

Ishaq Dar was very powerful and influential minister during the tenure of former PM Nawaz Sharif and had not given significance to any summary or ministry.

Most of the federal ministers were annoyed with his attitude especially PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi (then Petroleum Minister) had lodged complaints against him many times but the former PM did not take any notice against him.

Severe difference were created between Ishaq Dar and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi over petrol crises.-Online
