Dossiers on Indian involvement in Pakistan carried no material evidence : Sartaj Aziz

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Prime Minister’s special adviser on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that Pakistani dossiers on Indian interference and patronage of terrorism carried no ‘material evidence’, reported Dawn on Friday.

These dossiers were handed over to United States and United Nations during the visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in October this year.

While briefing the Senate Committee on foreign affairs, Aziz went on to say that material evidences were enclosed with the dossiers for sake of protection the sources. The dossiers thoroughly discussed the details of Indian involvement and they will helpful for us in building a narrative that India is patronising terrorist elements in Pakistan, he said.

The dossiers also addressed the pattern of anti-Pakistan activities of India, he explained.

Responding to a question, he said that members of the committee can be brief about the contents of dossiers in an ‘in-camera’ session. He added that discussion on such sensitive affairs in public will be dangerous.

Federal secretary for foreign affairs Aizaz Chaudhry was also present on the occasion.
