NAB team s London visit yielding no fruitful results as UK govt reluctant to share details

LAHORE  – The visit of a National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) team to London seemed unable to get evidence from the UK government regarding assets of Sharif family, including Avenfield flats.

According to Dunya News, the British government has denied sharing any details regarding the family due to some legal complications.

The team headed prosecutor general Waqas Dar by arrived in London on Thursday in order to visit various private and government departments to collect tangible evidence against the former ruling family.

Before the team arrived in London, NAB authorities wrote a letter to British authorities and appealed for cooperation in the investigation.

The NAB team is currently in London would also try to record statement of some important witnesses in the case.

On the other hand, the accountability court on Thursday indicted the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar in London flats reference.

Former Premier Nawaz Sharif is still in London with his lymphoma suffering wife Kulsoom Nawaz and according to Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, will be returning to the country soon.
