ISLAMABAD – It was the disqualification of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif which pushed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to follow a policy of agitation as its leaders are forever seen criticising the historic decision.
Different claims are being made regarding the judgment, and sometimes the PML-N leaders see this as a conspiracy against democracy, which has been getting stronger since the end of Pervez Musharraf’s regime, and the ‘biggest political party’ of Pakistan.

This time the revelations were made by Federal Minister for Climate Change Mushahidullah Khan, who had to resign from his post in 2015 for accusing former Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt. Gen Zaheerul Islam Abbasi of overthrowing Pakistan’s civil and military leadership during 2014 sit-ins by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek.
Khan, who was appointed as a federal minister again by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi after Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification, said that judiciary of Pakistan with the connivance of the establishment planned a scheme to oust the former premier, an English daily reported.
He gave the remarks during a debate at the Senate regarding the supremacy of parliament where the major political parties including Pakistan Peoples Party slammed Imran Khan and Sheikh Rashid for their anti-parliament speeches.
