PM Imran congratulates Modi on electoral victory, looks forward to working for peace

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan extended congratulations to Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi on the electoral victory garnered by Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies in Lok Sabha elections.

The premier took to Twitter on Thursday and desired to work with Modi for peace, progress, and prosperity in South Asia.

The Indian Election Commission is currently conducting the vote count, however, Modi’s BJP is winning or leading on over 320 seats as of now trailing by Indian National Congress, which is maintaining lead or victory on over 60 seats as per Indian media reports.

The final results would be declared by tonight, however, it is evident that Modi would be leading India again after assuming power for the second time in a row.

Voting for multi-phased elections concluded on May 19th and vote count would be concluded later in the day after which official results would be announced.
