LAHORE – Five men were killed after unknown gunmen opened fire on them in Muridke, Sheikhupura on Monday night.
The attack occurred in Taar Bazar near Muridke in which five persons received bullet wounds. The attacker, later, fled the scene.
The victims were shifted to a hospital but the succumbed to the injuries on the way. The deceased identified as three brothers, a relative of them and another.
The motive behind the killings is yet unknown, however, the police suspect it is a matter of an old enmity.
Punjab Police Inspector General Arif Nawaz consequently took notice of the incident and sought a report from the District Police Officer (DPO) for Sheikhupura.
Police officials are conducting raids to arrest the suspects as soon as possible.
