KABUL – A number of assailants reportedly stormed a mosque in Qala-e-Najarha area of in Kabul on Friday following a blast, international media reported.
According to Tolo News, eyewitness and residents said that a blast occurred inside the yard of Imam Zaman Mosque and gunfire continue in the area.
Many worshippers were present inside the mosque at the time of blast, the onlookers claimed.
According to Hindustan Times, the militants attacked a Shiite Muslims mosque at afternoon.
Following the attack, the security officials have cordoned off the area.
