ISLAMABAD – President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday met outgoing Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Rashid Mahmood in Islamabad.
During the farewell meeting, President Mamnoon Hussain appreciated the services of General Rashid Mahmood and declared him a true and professional soldier.
The president said Pakistan s defense is in strong hands whereas entire nation and armed forces are ready to respond to any aggression.
General Rashid is retiring on November 29 along with Chief of Army Staff Raheel Sharif who would also be completing his term.
