DUBAI – Afghanistan pulled off a sensational tie on the last ball game against India in the Super Four stage match of the Asia Cup in Dubai on Tuesday.
Mohammad Shahzad’s 124 lifted Afghanistan to 252-8 in 50 overs while India were all out in 49.5 overs with the scores level.
MS Dhoni will lead the team as captain Rohit Sharma is on rest. This also becomes Dhoni’s 200th time as captain for the team in ODI cricket.
This also makes him third in the list of cricketers who have captained their national side for the most number of times in ODI cricket. Ponting is at the numero uno spot.
