Nokia launches The Matrix slider phone 8810 for 97 in MWC 2018

BARCELONA – HMD Global the home of Nokia Phones has launched a new version of the iconic Nokia 8810 4G on Sunday in Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018.

The new phone is a successor of 1996 Nokia and was features in 1999 famous movie ‘The Matrix’.

The legendary Nokia 8110 feature phone, now with 4G connectivity, comes complete with the curved slider design.

It features tactile mechanics, with slide to answer and end calls, as well as an addictive helicopter style spin on its axis.

This retro phone also earned the nickname “banana phone”, which Nokia alludes to in the bright yellow colour of the new model.

The Nokia 8810 4G phone has a 2.4-inch QVGA display. It is powered by the Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform. It includes 512MB RAM and has 4GB of internal memory. On the camera front, there is a 2-megapixel rear camera. It is backed by a 1500 mAh battery and has support for WiFi, micro USB and a 3.5-mm jack. It runs on Smart Feature OS and has a built-in FM radio.

The phone is available for a price of $97.
