ISLAMABAD – The debate regarding whether Pakistan’s incumbent Prime Minister Imran Khan offered Eid prayer or not has rekindled the memories of senior citizens in the country, one of whom dished in on the matter with a reference to the founding father of Pakistan, Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Muhammad Arif detailed an interesting tale of how Quaid e Azam offered his first Eid prayer after the emergence of Pakistan on the international map.

In a series of tweets on Monday, Arif disclosed that he headed to the Eidgah Maidaan, Bunder Road, which is now labeled M A Jinnah Road in Pakistan’s southern metropolis, Karachi for Eid prayer in 1947.
Arif revealed that Quaid was scheduled to offer his Eid prayer at the same place (Opp. Jamia Cloth Market), however, he got late prompting the prayer leader to announce that Quaid would be missing the event altogether.

The development saddened him and many other believers for losing the chance to be in the congregation with Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The Muslims offered Eid prayer following which an announcement was made that Quaid had joined the congregation and was in the back rows, detailed Arif as an eyewitness.

Afterward, the Quaid made his way to the front rows without any protocol and earned the praise of his countrymen for being so humble.
